While at RTX 2016, EBongo and I spent a considerable amount of time at The Behemoth's booth. Their latest game is Pit People, a co-op turn-based strategy game that is going into closed beta on Xbox One this August. We got a chance to talk to Megan from The Behemoth, as well as play a lengthy co-op demo of Pit People! Come check out what we learned!
One of the many exhibitors at RTX 2016 was a company that sells (mostly meat-based) snacks with gamers in mind - JerkyXP. While on the show floor, I talked with Zach a bit and helped myself to some meaty samples. I also outright stole some CinniBacon flavored JerkyXP to check out later on at home. If you're interested in sweets and meats, this is the review for you!
Trying out the HyperX CloudX took me back to a time before I owned nice headphones of any kind. Being quiet while gaming wasn't really a priority for me before kids, but now I prefer headphones even when being quiet isn't an issue. You kids today are lucky there are sweet headphones like the HyperX CloudX, because I'll tell you that first pair of Turtle Beach headphones I picked up at Best Buy back in the day doesn't hold a candle to these - and back then there were literally no other options.
Tick Tock Bang Bang is the latest release from Dejobaan Games, an old school, OG indie dev located in Boston. In it, you're a stuntwoman tasked with filming a movie based on the "2032 Boston Robot Uprising" - but let's be honest here. That's just an excuse to shoot stuff! And shoot stuff we shall, in a slow-mo time-moves-when-you-do FPS. Do you have what it takes to be a bad enough dude(tte) and destroy all those darned robots? Read on for my Tick Tock Bang Bang review!
As with any open world game, Mad Max has a ton of distractions that will keep you playing for hours, if not days. It can be daunting to understand and prioritize where to start. That's why I create these "quickstart" guides. In my quickstart guide for Mad Max, I'll tell you all the things I wish I knew when I first started playing. It's a long list of stuff, but knowing this will make life in Scrotus' territories much easier.
While at PAX South this year, EBongo and I stopped by the HyperX booth to check out the latest from Kingston's gamer-focused line. While we saw several pieces of new gear, by far our most anticipated item was the Cloud Revolver - the follow-on to HyperX's Cloud and Cloud II headsets. With the help of the fine folks at Kingston, EB and I snagged a couple of review units. Now that I've had a chance to play with mine for a while, I'm ready to weigh in. Coming up in this Cloud Revolver review, I'll lay out the improvements and give you my read on these new cans.
If you are new to Clash Royale, you have a lot to learn - but among the many aspects of tribal knowledge is the games fairly robust emote system. Stories: The Path of Destinies is an action RPG with a heavily branching storyline, released last month by Spearhead Games. The notorious sky pirate Reynardo finds himself in possession of an enchanted book that allows him to see what disaster war is about to bring his world. Enterprise grade servers tend to have an embedded computer that keeps track of the server's status even when it's turned off. This sort of thing is called "out of band management". Now that we're fully in the "internet of things" era, there's really no reason why we can't all have the benefits of such a system. In this article, I'll document my "system monitor" that keeps track of my primary PC, even when I'm not around.
