By all rights, getting the Black Spindle in Destiny is one of the hardest things I've accomplished in gaming to date. It requires a significant amount of teamwork, strategy, and execution... and if that isn't enough it is time gated such that you only rarely get to attempt it! You might think it is impossible or something only really "elite" players can complete, but it is not! In fact, I feel just about any decent team with can do it, if they are patient and prepared. Once you've conquered the easy levels at the beginning of Bloons Monkey City, you're likely to hit a major wall - MOABs. No doubt the first time you encounter these massive blue blimps is in the Contested Territory, although quickly you'll find it difficult to take any of your own territory without encountering them. The strategies you use to pop regular bloons just don't work on MOABs. Plus, as the rounds get harder, the money you need goes up but the amount you get goes down! Bloons Monkey City is a deceptive game. On the surface, Monkey City looks like a simple, kid-friendly tower defense title. Below its silly veneer of monkeys popping balloons, though, it's a surprisingly complex and deep game with some serious strategy. If you are an old school Boggle player like me, and if you've somehow not heard about WordBrain in the two years it has been on the App Store (like me)... then boy do I have a treat for you! WordBrain is a classic word puzzler from Mag Interactive that plays very similarly to Boggle except that each level is a fixed puzzle with an exact solution. Early puzzles are trivial with few letters to play with, but as you increase your "Brain" score you unlock harder and harder challenges with longer words and more words per puzzle. Mobile puzzle games are an interesting genre because every time I feel like I've seen it all, some clever person thinking up a new twist and before long a whole new subgenre is born. I hope that is the case for rop an zen "untangling" puzzler from MildMania. The objective of rop is simple: make the shape you see on the screen.
